Like a river flows

Like a river flows

I have tried not to stop

or spin like an eddy

But I find

I haven't behind me

more current to push

Hard on my lost

pace of youth

and former curiosity

But then a river too

meets the sea

so I suppose like me

It will slow eventually

and add a volume

to the final history.
